I am a huge fan of gritty crime thrillers similar to True Detective, Seven, and Silence of the Lambs. I wanted to create a crime scene that captured the emotion and mystery of the genre. I explored several different locations, but eventually settled on the creepy vibe of an abandoned warehouse.
The environment was built in Unreal Engine using Maya, Zbrush, Substance Designer/Painter, and Photoshop. With the exception of a few Megascans and marketplace assets; I designed, modeled, textured and lit the entire scene.

For my victim, I created a sleazy looking MetaHuman. I exported the character into Maya for mesh tweaks, retexturing, rigging, and posing. Then imported everything back into Unreal for final placement and materials.
